About Me
Deep in the heart of the East Midlands is where I originated from. I continued on through Brighton to study illustration for three years before ending up in London to complete an M.A. course at Central Saint Martins College. Work slowly followed for such editorials as Time Out, Sunday Times Magazine & The Guardian.
My style is divided into two parts. The painted pieces that played a key part in my early development as an artist/illustrator & the more fine line pen approach that now forms most of my commission requests.
My influences range from Peter Blake, David Hockney, Euan Uglow, Ruskin Spear, John Piper to photographers such as Ernst Haas, Saul Leiter, Bruce Davidson, Tony Ray-Jones & also graphic artists such as Saul Bass & the wonderfully imaginative jazz Blue Note sleeves from the 50's & 60's.
